winterROCs is a juried fine art fair open to original art in any medium. We're looking for work conceived and made as art. Work that is primarily functional (e.g., candles, clothing, consumables) in intent is not a fit for this event.
For our inaugural fair, we're selecting 30 to 50 artists through a jury process. We want artists with a clear voice, who take presentation seriously, and who are interested in being part of building something new in the Rochester arts community from the ground up.
A note on printmaking: Monoprints, monotypes, letterpress, etching, woodblock, linocut, screen printing, lithography, and other hand-pulled processes where the print itself is the original work are welcome. Reproduction prints, giclées, or inkjet copies of existing paintings or drawings are not eligible as primary work. If you sell reproductions alongside original work, they must be clearly labeled as such and may not make up more than 20% of your display.

The artist application is live now through Friday, November 20, 2026, at 5 pm EST. The application fee is $20 and is non-refundable. Before applying, please read our Event Policies which govern participation in the fair. By submitting an application you agree to those terms.
Upon acceptance to winterROCs, artists pay a booth fee of $150 to reserve their space in the fair. Booth fee refunds are available on a sliding scale based on cancellation date. See Event Policies for details.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of working artists, arts professionals, and collectors. Jurors will evaluate work based on artistic quality, originality, professional booth presentation, and suitability for a fine art fair context. All decisions are final. Each applicant will receive notification by the date above, whether accepted, waitlisted, or not selected. Individual feedback on applications will not be provided.

Artists bring and manage their own display setup for their 8 ft by 8 ft space. There are no provided walls, hanging systems, or furniture. Nothing may be attached to the venue walls. Your display should be clean, professional, and built around the work itself. If you’ve shown in juried exhibitions or galleries before, you’ll fit in here.
All 2D work should be framed, gallery-wrapped, or finished to a standard appropriate for sale. Your art should be displayed vertically where possible: hung, propped on easels, or stood on pedestals. If you use a table, it should be a surface base for display, not the display itself. Plan to keep your space edited, as breathing room between pieces reads better than covering every surface. Signage should be printed, not handwritten.
Load-in will take place on Friday, March 5, 2027, from 3-6 pm, prior to a VIP-ticketed opening and preview at 7 pm. Artists who may need additional time or accommodations should contact our team at hello@winterrocs.com to discuss options. Artists are expected to be present from 7-9 pm on Friday for the opening. This preview for collectors and invited guests is a genuine selling opportunity before the public fair opens Saturday morning. Please ensure you can meet this commitment before applying. On Saturday, you are expected to be in your space for the full duration of the fair, from 10 am-4 pm.
Full setup details, load-in logistics, and day-of information will be sent to confirmed artists after their booth fee is received.

Every piece must be clearly and visibly priced. Do not list work as “price on request.” You handle your own transactions. winterROCs does not take any commission, so you keep 100% of your proceeds. Buyers at this fair will expect to be able to pay by card or in cash. Please come prepared with a card reader and a backup plan: a phone payment link, Venmo/PayPal, or similar. WiFi may not be available at the fair venue, so please prepare your card reader to work via a cellular connection or in offline mode. Please bring appropriate bags or boxes for collectors to carry purchased work in, especially for smaller pieces.
